Lethbridge 20 000. (FINALIST)

The subject of this painting is the local bushland that I grew up near and explored as a child. In 2020 I returned to it and vividly remembered the experiences I had roaming these areas with friends as a kid.

There was also a tremendous amount of new discoveries to make in this area, as my small legs when young must have kept me at the fringes of this vast bushland. This painting was the beginning of series about The Redlands on Brisbane’s southside where I retraced old footsteps and reflected on my childhood.

Thanks to Lethbridge Gallery for their support to the Brisbane and Australian art community.
