Residency

Aschersleben residency video

While working on a residency in Aschersleben at the Neo Rauch Grafik Stiftung from July to September in 2016 the residents were interviewed by Thomas Werner for a documentary series.

Check out the video below, or follow this LINK to YouTube.

I hope the Ascherlebeners aren't too upset with my comments and first impressions of the locals!!

This opportunity was a lovely experience and looking back it was important to the development of my work. We were spoilt as residents and I greatly appreciate how rare this kind of support and situation was for my career. I am planning to spend more time in Aschersleben in the future as well as exploring other parts of East Germany, because this area has made an incredibly strong impression on me.

Local Rag

This is an article by an East German newspaper about my recent residency in Aschersleben, including my studio working process.

It was a nice interview because the journalist was very curious and patient to learn about my ideas.

Below is a translation from the original German version.

Linz Residency

During December 2016 and January 2017 I worked in a wonderful residency in Linz, Austria. Atelierhaus Salzamt provided a very supportive program, which allowed me to be productive and focused in the studio.

Residency in Leipzig, Germany

LIA the not for profit residency program has accepted me as a resident artist. LIA operates within the Spinnerei, in Leipzig and has its own unique art hub within the complex.

Ive created a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the studio costs. In total my residency costs are $9,500 AU for 6 months. I will live in the studio, painting full time to create new work. Im asking for $5,000 in this Kickstarter project, but it is possible to exceed to target amount. This would be an incredible bonus.

Here is what the campaign looks like at the moment. Thank you so much everyone for your support!
